2. Send me your details. Tell me the three ancestors you’d like researched, along with any names, dates, places or family stories you already have, by replying to the confirmation email.

5. Want to go further? If you’d like to continue, your lookup can be the starting point for a full Lineage Archive, a printed book covering around 80 ancestors.

Returns & Research Guarantee

The Nature of Genealogical Research

At The Heritage Map Co. you are commissioning a dedicated 4-6 week residency of professional archival research. Please understand that genealogy is dependent on the existence and survival of historical records. Due to historical events such as courthouse fires, record gaps, or lost archives, certain branches of a lineage may be more difficult to trace than others.

No Refunds on Research Time

Because you are paying for the professional hours dedicated to your search, we do not offer refunds based on the "results" of the research. Even if a specific record cannot be found, you will receive a comprehensive report (The Lineage Archive) detailing the exhaustive search paths taken and the historical context of the era.

Bespoke & Custom Goods

While we do not offer refunds, we are committed to excellence. If there is a physical defect in a printed item (such as damage during shipping), please contact us within 48 hours of receipt, and we will move quickly to rectify the error or replace the damaged item.
